Simpson Masonry Brick Reinforcement Mesh comes in 20m x 63mm coils for easy handling, Galvanised reinforcing brick mesh is normally installed in the mortar course during construction to increase tensile strength. 20m x 63mm mesh made of high-quality steel and the material finish is galvanised.
- Increases tensile stress resistance where settlement occurs. Easy to include into mortar course and coiled for portability. In any given application, all metal components must be of the same material type.
- Protecting hands from sharp metal edges requires the use of gloves.
- Place the mesh within the bed joints of the masonry, providing a minimum of 25mm of coverage to the outside faces.
- Minimum overlap of 75 mm is required when combining two lengths. The mesh can be installed every third course of brick for maximum reinforcement.
