Sanding used to be a very messy job, therefore, the introduction of dust extraction systems was a very welcomed improvement. Dust particles in the air not only affect your job but also your health. Your lungs exposed to fine dust suffer in silence but that can have an effect if future. Dust particles in the air can damage the piece of furniture you just varnished by landing eventually on the surface when circulation is not present. Many brands tried to resolve the issue with sanding dust but pretty much all of them have failed to provide a complex solution. Mirka has nailed it and came up with an ingenious idea called Abranet. Mirka Abranet is a patented sanding material based on polyamide fabric that has been woven together creating a net-like surface. Tiny holes allow the dust to be vacuumed straight away without clogging the surface of the disc. Dust no longer gets in the way of the rotating disc so you do not create a dust cloud. That leaves your workplace clean and tidy. Improved dust extraction makes discs last longer. Grits are available from P240 to P1000.
